Best Use of Technology

The aim of this award is to recognise the company that, in the opinion of the judges, has developed the best technological solution to meet the needs of a retail motor finance business, a fleet leasing business or the customers/clients of one of these businesses. The solution needs to be innovative and to have been launched in the last two years.

Best Customer Service

This award is designed to recognise the retail auto finance company, motor finance company, broker, fleet leasing company or supplier to these businesses that delivers best in class customer service.

Best Product or Service – Fleet Finance

This award is designed to recognise the fleet finance, fleet leasing or fleet management company that has introduced the best product or service innovation in the last two years.

Intelligent Mobility Services

This award is designed to recognise the company that has introduced the best intelligent mobility innovation in the last two years.

‘Mobility solutions’ are solutions that offer alternatives to (or complement) the company car e.g. car sharing, car clubs, more business use of public transport where available, etc. These reflect the desire by many companies to ensure that every journey is carried out in the most cost‐effective and environmentally friendly way.

Back Office Innovation Award

This award is designed to recognise the best back office innovation that has been introduced in the last two years. Most awards recognise client‐facing activity and innovation but for motor finance and fleet finance businesses it is their back office processes that can make the difference between being good and great.

Nominations may be for (but are not limited to) innovations that improve the management of credit risk, residual value risk, maintenance cost risk, accounting processes, collections, default management, supplier management and indeed any internal activity that is not directly related to the management of clients. We will accept nominations for in-house solutions developed by one company for their own internal use, as well as solutions developed by third parties (eg technology or data supply companies) for use more extensively in the industry.

Best Professional Services Firm

Aimed at professional service firms serving the auto finance and/or fleet leasing market.

This award is open to professional services firms such as legal, accounting and management consulting firms, that can demonstrate excellence in the delivery of services to the auto finance and/or fleet leasing market in the last two years. We are expecting to receive nominations that include details of new services that have been introduced, transactions that have been particularly successful, etc.

Auto Finance Personality of the Year

This award is designed to recognise the individual who has made the most noteworthy contribution to the motor finance, fleet finance or retail auto finance industry in the last two years. It is open to anyone in the industry.

Best Use of Data

The aim of this award is to recognise the company that, in the opinion of the judges, has developed the best way to use data to meet the needs of a retail motor finance business, a fleet leasing business or the customers/clients of one of these businesses. The solution needs to be innovative and to have been launched in the last two years.

Best Product or Service - Motor Finance

This award is designed to recognise the retail motor finance company that has introduced the best product or service innovation in the last two years.

Fintech Innovator Award

Are you a fintech innovator with a vision for using technology to add value into auto finance? You do not need to have started your business (although you may have done), but you do have a vision for how technology could be used to add value to auto finance. It may be, for example, that you have thought of a great application for blockchain, or machine learning to make some aspect of the credit cycle more efficient. Or you may have an idea about how to use technology to better meet customer needs.

Point Of Sale - Motor Finance

This award is designed to recognise the best point of sale innovation in motor finance or retail motor finance that has been introduced in the last two years.

This award is not open to innovations in the fleet finance space. We are expecting to see entries describing innovation in the sale of finance via dealers or direct over the internet.

Wholesale Finance

This award is open to companies that provide debt finance to motor finance or fleet leasing companies. It is designed to recognise excellence in the delivery of any aspect of wholesale funding. So for example the winner might be the company that has done the biggest or most innovative deal, or has introduced better ways to serve its clients’ needs or has enhanced the quality of service pre‐ and post‐drawdown.

New Entrant

This award is designed to recognise the retail auto finance company, motor finance company, broker, fleet leasing company or supplier to any of these businesses that has entered the market in the last two years and has really made its mark. The company does not need to be a new business: entries will also be accepted from companies that have operated in other industries for more than two years and that have diversified into the auto finance/fleet finance sector in the last two years.

CEO of the Year

This award is designed to recognise the chief executive who has done most to support and promote the best interests of the industry. It is open to the CEO of any company in the sector.
